2013-2014 Volunteer Opportunities

Thank you to everyone to who helped make the Auction a success.

2014 Spring Auction

Our 2014 Spring Auction Planning is off to a great start.  We’ve so far held two successful event meetings, our committee has some really unique ideas.  We have set the date for FRIDAY, April 25th at Traditions.  Our theme, inspired by the rustic beauty that encompasses Beaufort, will be “Burlap and Blue; a Lowcountry Event”.  Please “follow” the Pinterest Auction Board that Lilli McDonough has started for us.  This will allow us to virtually collaborate whenever inspiration strikes!

We are creating auction basket ideas.  If there is an item (or service) you have, make, or are able to get donated..WE WILL AUCTION IT!  We are looking for items to include in baskets as well as items that could be auctioned individually.

We are dividing up our soliciting roster and looking for volunteers for the following areas:

Bluffton and Hilton Head (Golf courses, resorts, restaurants, etc.)
Savannah (Restaurants, Theater, Historic Tours, etc.)

Please contact us if you would like to help us reach out to our community, or if you have an item or service to donate.  Once you have signed up to volunteer, you will receive your soliciting area, a sample soliciting letter and a sample soliciting “thank you” letter.

Thank you for all your help and ideas!

“Wreaths Across America”

This year, PIOSC will be collecting funds to sponsor wreaths for the “Wreaths Across America” ceremony that will take place on December 14th.  On this day at noon, wreaths will be placed on the grave sites of Veterans at all 233 National Cemeteries.  Beaufort Chapter 12, Disabled American Veterans has asked for sponsorships for the wreaths, which cost $15.00 each.  Money is due by November 15th.  Donations can be made at any PIOSC function (to include sub-clubs) or by using the Paypal button below.  Thank you for your support, please check back for volunteer info for this amazing event.
