PISC Scholarships 

The Parris Island Spouses’ Club (PISC) is pleased to offer a minimum of two scholarships this year. One scholarship will be presented to a qualified senior graduating high school in the spring of 2017. Another scholarship will be presented to a qualified spouse of an active duty member of the military. There may be more than two scholarships awarded based on available funds for the year. Scholarships will be awarded for academic performance, community involvement, and outstanding merit.

All applications must be postmarked by April 30, 2017. Applications postmarked after this date will not be considered.

Eligibility Requirements: Candidate must meet all of the following requirements:

1. Candidate must be a senior in high school currently enrolled in a public, private or parochial school, or a home school program, or candidate must be the spouse of an active duty member of the military services and be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an institution of high education.

2. Candidate must have a military sponsor (of any military rank or service) who meets one of the following criteria: a. Active duty military personnel currently assigned to MCRD Parris Island, MCAS Beaufort, or Naval Hospital Beaufort. b. Retired or deceased military personnel whose last active duty station was MCRD Parris Island, MCAS Beaufort, or Naval Hospital Beaufort.

3. Candidate is applying for a fulltime admission to an accredited college/university or is currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.

4. Candidate must have obtained a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

All qualified applicants will be considered, provided they properly complete the application procedures. Please note that all information must be completed and all supporting documents must be attached. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The Scholarship Committee of the PISC will select the recipients. The Committee’s decisions are final.
